Snow??

Well, that certainly wasn’t in today’s forecast. Nothing sticking, but it’s time to dig the snow blower out and get it running and put the lawnmower away. I guess because it’s December 1st (rabbit rabbit) and it’s snowing, winter is arriving. Dang.

Confounded Cold

At first on Thursday I thought it was allergies (although I seldom have alllergy issues) so I bought some Claritin which seemed to help. By Saturday it was a full-blown cold and I’d already infected a bunch of family. I stayed at the RV on Sunday to avoid infecting anyone else. Today it is moving down into my chest. Last time we came to Seattle I was sick. What’s with this place, anyhow? One bad thing is the magic anti-cough elixer from Belgium is at home. I didn’t even think to bring it, so today my gut hurts from coughing. Not fun!

We’re headed south on Interstate 5 and will be in a campground near Canon Beach for the next few days. I can just as easily be sick here as at home, so the vacation continues. I also have a dentist appointment this afternoon as a temprary crown has come off (again). The dentist office will be getting a dose of my germs this afternoon…. Share the wealth. That’s my mantra today!

Seattle Winning !!?! Probably Not

We’re at the ballpark, section125, row 16, seats 10 through 13. It’s the bottom of the 6th inning and the Seattle Mariners lead the (last place) Texas Rangers 3 to 2. Will this hold up for three more innings? This is Fan Appreciation Night and several dozen nice prizes have been given away. I think we’ll stay to the end to make sure we don’t win anything!

It’s been a fun day. Lots of sightseeing around Seattle, including riding the “Duck” around town and Union Lake. This was an amphibious truck with a zaney (closer to crazy) driver. Lunch was at a delicious Thai restaurant. (Texas just scored two more runs to lead 4-3.) It’s a cool evening in a fairly full stadium. Go Seattle….

Waiting….

I have never in my life waited outside a restaurant for an hour and a half with no end to the waiting in sight. But here I am waiting to get into Sally’s, a pizza restaurant in Little Italy in downtown New Haven. This was my sister-in-law’s major request — to eat here. I’m not alone, however. There are about 20 people in line behind us. We’re at the front of the line and have been waiting at this spot for about 15 minutes. This better be good pizza. No one else in line is bailing out….
