I started the day at the Flanders Field American Cemetery in Waregem, Belgium. The cemetery was very easy to find and was a good start to the process of learning more about World War One. The day was cloudy and threatened rain (which never materialized). From here I drove to Ieper and spent the rest of the day in that city.
