As I was walking down the street in Salmo, British Columbia, I heard galloping hoofbeats and up the road came this fellow on his horse. I’m not sure if he was part of the Salmo Canada Day celebration or just some fellow who had dressed up for the occasion. He sure looked the part! It got me thinking, though. In the time of the wild, wild west, there was no distinction between the United States and Canada. It was all the “west”.
