Moon Over the Assembly Hall

Moon Over the Assembly Hall

We were at the Tabernacle at 5:45 a.m. on July 24, 2008 for the Days of 47 Sunrise Service commemorating the arrival of the first group of Mormon pioneers into the Salt Lake Valley in 1847. It was indeed a sunrise service as the sun was yet to come up in the east. This is a picture of the north side of the Assembly Hall on Temple Square with a lighted window and a crescent waning moon in the sky.
