As I walked over towards the gates to the yard sale about ten minutes before the scheduled 9 a.m. start, I could hear a bunch of people outside the gate. I opened them and about forty people piled in to see what was for sale. They were not dissapointed. In the next hour more than a thousand dollars worth of tools were sold. I’m sure that a lot of folks felt like they had gotten a bargain. A few dickered and if they were buying a lot of stuff, we’d make a deal. Many others gladly paid the listed price. At one time there was a fairly long line of people waiting the pay for their items.
Nina, Eileen, and Chris manned the payment table. Perry and I helped the shoppers, answered questions, and occasionally bargained on the prices of things. It was a very successful yard sale.
