Dad In His Chair

Dad In His Chair

When we got to the nursing home today, dad was in his chair and dressed. He isn’t able to get himself dressed and it takes two people to work with him to get clothes on him. However, getting dressed every day is one of the requirements in skilled nursing. My sister Terry has modified dad’s levis so that instead of a zipper and a button, they close with Velcro. That is a mighty handy modification. Dad prefers to wear levis and a button-down shirt.

The bulletin board above his chair is decorated courtesy of his granddaughter (and our daughter) Dawnmarie and her children. Each of them have included something for their great-grandfather to have to help cheer him up. We are all quite impressed with the quality of the artwork!
