We stopped at Great Harvest Breads on the way home from the Idaho Falls Temple. This is one store I always go in … because they have free slices of bread that I can smother in butter and honey. They had a table of special Easter treats set up including a scrumptious-looking pumpkin bread – cream cheese rollup. I immediately picked it up.
“You can’t buy THAT,” she says.
“Why not?” sez me.
“It’s too much. You can’t eat all that.”
“Watch me!” I said.
“We’ll have to take it over to your mother’s for Easter,” she says.
“If there’s any left….” was my reply.
There was a little left and we did take it over to mother’s on Easter Sunday for dessert. That left mother with one small slice left for her breakfast on the Monday After Easter. It was indeed delicious!
