The dry pack canner is cinched down onto the counter top and we’ve started filling #10 cans with oatmeal. The canning process, once all the necessary items come together, is very easy and within a couple of hours we had completed the entire process.
The canner itself works very well. Fill a #10 can, put an oxygen absorption pack in, and sit the lid on top of the can. Place the can on the white pedestal, lift the can into place with the handle, and press the button. The can starts to rotate. Push the handle away for three turns, pull the handle towards you for three turns, and release the now-sealed can. Breakfast is now assured for the next couple of years.
