“Arlene S. was born in a small mining town in Utah. She went to School in Tooele, Utah. When asked what she liked to do for fun when she was young, she said she had three older brothers to keep her occupied. She married her husband the day after D Day in 1941. They had four children, two boys and two girls. Arlene and her husband served three missions out of the country for the church. They went to England, Hawaii and the Philippines. Arlene loves music. She liked to sing in choirs, but her musical talent was the piano. Arlene has been in our Edgewood community since May 2013. Arlene has always got a nice complement for everyone she sees. She can bring a smile to anyone’s face.”

She was born in Ophir, Utah. She was actually married on D Day, June 6, 1944.
