Ponce de Leon Lighthouse

The lighthouse isn’t operational … that is, while the light is lit, it isn’t operated by the US Government anymore, but rather by the park district. It is used for navigation because all the high rises around the inlet block the lighthouse the Government built to replace this one. The grounds are now a museum. For five dollars one can climb to the top of the 175′ lighthouse, the second tallest in the US.
